Pak'n Save Foods - For all your grocery needs
Pak'n Save Foods
Pak'n Save Foods is a full-line grocery store operating under the Safeway umbrella. Shoppers from local communities in Northern California can find all their grocery needs at Pak'n Save Foods at discount prices, be it on ingredients for family meals or items for the home. Some of Pak'n Save Foods stores have recently undergone remodeling, so customers can not only benefit from fresh produce, dairy, meat and seafood but also a fresh shopping experience. The produce department, for example, has recently implemented a "Farmer's Market' feel in the produce department with crate-like stands. In addition to the standard grocery departments, customers can also enjoy an extensive beer selection, which includes an impressive collection of domestic and international craft beers.
Pak'n Save Foods - Low prices, great quality
Initially owned by Brentwood Markets, the Northern California group that started the brand, Pak'n Save Foods was acquired by Safeway when its parent company was acquired in the 1980s. Back then, it was a chain of discount grocery stores, which had a warehouse club feel, with customers bagging their own groceries and an overall no-frills shopping experience. This meant Pak'n Save Foods was able to pass on the savings to the end consumer. Today, some Pak'n Save Foods have been coverted to Safeway supermarkets, as it is still owned and operated by the firm. Safeway was recently acquried by Albertsons, the second-largest supermarket chain in America.
