Journeys is a retailer owned by Genesco, a publicly-owned retailer of footwear, headwear and sports apparel based in Nashville, Tennessee. Other Genesco brands include Johnston & Murphy, Dockers, Lids, and Schuh. The first Journeys store was launched in 1986 at Rivergate Mall in Nashville, Tennessee. Today, there are over 800 Journeys stores across the United States, mostly in shopping malls and outlet malls. Journeys stores are relatively small but have a wide variety of products available. Since the company's inception, Journeys has grown to be a staple of American shopping malls. Journeys sub-brands include Journeys, Journeys Kidz, Shi by Journeys, and Underground by Journeys. Journeys earned over $1 million in retail sales in fiscal year 2012.
