Hornbacher's – Hometown groceries since 1951
The first Hornbacher's grocery store was opened in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1951 by Ted Hornbacher and his business partner, Jim Custer. The Fargo, North Dakota location opened in 1956 and was the location of the company headquarters until 2006, when a bigger office was opened in Osgood. This Osgood location was also the first store in the grocery chain to feature a gas station. Today, Hornbacher's employs over 1,000 employees at its six stores and is an active participant in the local community through its support of charitable events and organizations from the Fargo/Moorhead vicinity.
