Giant Carlisle - Great products at fair prices
Giant Carlisle was founded in 1923 by David Javitch in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The comapny was sold by the Javitch family to Royal Ahold Corporation in 1981; at that time the retailer boasted 29 store locations. Rick Herring is the current CEO of the company, who assumed leadership of the brand in 2010, replacing Albert Jeijn, who was CEO of the retailer from 2008 to 2010. Today, there are approximately 180 different store locations in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, and 92 of those feature gas stations.
