Fareway - Fresh foods and grocery
Fareway is a Midwestern retail grocery store chain that is based out of Iowa. The company is focused at being family oriented and distinguishes itself by having personalized service, clean stores, and everyday low prices. Stores also practice eco-friendly initiatives like reclaiming heat from refrigeration and recycling pallets, shrink wrap, and cardboard, which overall keeps prices low for consumers since the company does not have to spend more. Although customers are important to Fareway, the overall products they sell are what keeps customers coming back and they strive to have fresh and high quality products from not only national companies but local ones as well. Stores are separated into different sections to make it easier to shop for customers. These include dry foods, beverages, dairy, fresh produce, and a legendary meat section. There are also a bakery and deli section where consumers can buy baked goods, made to order meals, and party trays. At particular locations, customers can take advantage of movie rentals with all the latest releases. Just remember, Fareway is closed on Sunday's as part of a long tradition.
Fareway - Happy customers since 1938
Fareway Stores was founded in 1938 in Boone, Iowa by visionary Paul S. Beckwith and Fred E. Vitt. The vision was simple, to have happy employees serving happy customers. This practice along with a revolutionary, at that time, self-service model proved to be very successful and rocketed Fareway into prosperity. The company grew through expansion throughout the Midwest. Today, Fareway has over 100 stores located in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.
