Elder-Beerman is a fashion retailer selling women's, men's, junior's and kid's apparel, shoes and accessories. There is a selection of home goods as well, from home decor and kitchen appliances to rugs and window treatments. Women's apparel selections include activewear, sweaters, dresses and knit tops. Brand name shoes are also sold, including Coach, Clarks and Naturalizer, with styles for men, women, kids and juniors. Accessories are available, like handbags, jewelry, watches and eyewear. Makeup and fragrances are sold in the beauty department and bath and skin products are available in the bed and bath department. Blazers, suits and ties are sold in the men's apparel section. The kid's section have pajamas, casual wear and special occasion clothing. All departments have clearance sections where out of season merchandise is sold for reduced prices.

Elder-Beerman is a department store chain and was founded in 1883 by Arthur Beerman in Dayton, Ohio, originally under the name Boston Dry Goods Store. They merged with Elder & Johnston Company in 1963, earning its current brand name. The company is headquartered in York, Pennsylvania. The retailer was acquired by Bon-Ton Stores in 2003. Beginning in 2012, the department store chain underwent a rebranding effort, which reduced the total number of stores nationwide to 37 from 42. The retailer sponsors a Goodwill Sale twice a year, whereby customers can receive discounts on merchandise when they bring in clothing donations to the store.
