GoPro is a brand of camera, commonly used in extreme action photography and high quality personal photos. The idea behind GoPro is to allow the everyday user to be able to capture high quality and professional shots at an accessible price. GoPro sells three types of cameras, named the HD HERO. These cameras are fixed-lens, without viewfinders and have a range of five to 12 megapixels. The cameras are rated shockproof and waterproof to 180ft, encased in a clear polycarbonate HD Housing, consisting of a quick release buckle and backdoor option to capture audio when the camera is not needed to be waterproof or shockproof. GoPro cameras have special features, such as an upside down mode to make photos and videos appear upright, self timer, interval shooting of every two, five, ten, 30 and 60 seconds and a three photo burst, which takes three photos consecutively with just one press of the button. The HD HERO naked camera line shoots a maximum of 1080p video on its 5Mp sensor and forms the basis of other camera bundles such as HD Helmet Hero, HD Motorsports HERO, HD Surf HERO. HD HERO2 has an improved low light capability and records up to 120 frames per second and comes in an Outdoor Edition, Motorsports Edition and Surf Edition. HERO3 comes in black, silver and white, has WiFi functionality and is smaller and lighter than other HERO cameras. HERO3+, available in black and silver, can shoot 12MP stills at up to 30 frames per second, and has improved low light performance and a new waterproof enclosure.
